Three laboratories
of physics, nanotechnology and cancer biology of the University Claude Bernard
Lyon 1 are organizing the first workshop “Cancer Cells On-Chip: State of the
Art and Future Developments” on June 11, 2012 on the campus of Rockefeller's
Faculty of Medicine.
The purpose
of this meeting at the interface between different disciplines is to stimulate new
approaches to diagnosis and screening of cancer cells. Various technological
approaches related but not limited to the phenotypic and functional analysis of
cancer cells using microfluidic devices and other microsystems will be
presented.
This meeting is
for various scientific and medical communities: including doctors and cancer
biologists, students and researchers in the fields of micro-nano-systems,
biophysics and microfluidics. It will be organized in oral and poster sessions
and facilitated by speakers from prestigious teams and leadership regarding the
use of microsystems for cancer or other human diseases (see preliminary
program).
It will be
announced on various regional and national networks of cancer, nanomedicine,
microtechnology and cancer: CLARA, OMNT, GDR...
